Department-issued handgun all officers must carry, with approved personally owned handguns allowed after field training, per ADM.06.01 (effective March 2013; compiled 2019). Current status not re-verified.
The Belen (New Mexico) Police Department SOPs, compiled March 13, 2019, were published on DocumentCloud. Weapons policy ADM.06.01 (effective March 25, 2013) states that all officers must carry the department-issued Glock Model 22 (.40). Officers who complete field training may carry an approved personally owned handgun. Current status not re-verified.
