Current service weapon as of August 2025; a switch to the Glock 45 was proposed but not yet approved in this source.
The Big Rapids Pioneer reported in August 2025 that the department's lead firearms instructor told the city commission at a study session that the SIG Sauer P320 was the department's current service weapon and proposed replacing it with the Glock 45. The session was informational only; the proposed Glock purchase is not entered because no approval is documented in this source. Current status not re-verified.
