Glock handgun approved as the CMPD service weapon, replacing Smith & Wesson.
City Council approved a CMPD firearms purchase on June 28, 2021. The council item says it replaces the department's Smith & Wesson handgun with a Glock as the police service weapon, citing end of service life. No Glock model is named. The earlier S&W handgun is mentioned only here because no model was given.
