Selected in 2019 to replace the department's Sig Sauer duty pistols.

A March 2019 GLOCK, Inc. press release says the Hancock County Sheriff's Department in Ellsworth, Maine, would replace its Sig Sauer duty pistols with the GLOCK 45 after testing and evaluation. The Sig Sauer model is not named. Current status not re-verified.
