Glock pistols replaced the department's Sig Sauer handguns (2014).
A June 2014 Lombard Board item includes the police chief's memo. The department had bought new Sig Sauer handguns for all sworn personnel in 2013, had reliability problems on the range, and traded them in for Glock pistols. The ordinance lists the traded-in pistols as Sig Sauer P220R .45. No Glock model is named. Current status not re-verified.
