The agenda packet memo describes buying Glock LE 45 MOS 9mm pistols with a trade-in of the department's Sig Sauer P320 .357 firearms, citing the cost and availability of .357 ammunition. The council's August 1, 2022 minutes record a motion approving the purchase of firearms from Parros Gun Shop & Police Supply after trade-in of existing firearms, passed 4 in favor with 1 abstention.
