Walther PDP Pro 9mm adopted as the new standard duty pistol (approved Nov. 2025).
According to the Plant City Observer, the City Commission voted on Nov. 10, 2025 (resolutions 25-522 and 25-523) to accept an FDLE grant and approve the department's switch from the Sig Sauer P320 Pro to the Walther PDP Pro 9mm as its standard duty pistol. Completion of the transition is not verified.
