The Prince William County (Virginia) Police Department general orders manual was published on DocumentCloud in 2023. G.O. 27.05 (effective February 8, 2023) states that all members are initially issued a Glock 17. Detectives may exchange it for a Glock 19, and Special Investigations Bureau and Intelligence Unit members are issued the Glock 19. G.O. 27.12 (effective July 27, 2022) describes the department shotgun as a modified Remington 870. Specialized-team details are omitted.
