The Socorro County (New Mexico) Sheriff's Office Standard Operating Procedures Manual (2018) was published on DocumentCloud in May 2019. Policy 1-19.01, Weapons (effective June 12, 2018), states that newly hired deputies receive a Sheriff's Office-issued Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm for duty use, to be carried until their first anniversary of hire. Current status not re-verified.
