Work-issued P320 at the time of a 2022 incident described in 2026 trial coverage; current status not re-verified.

WABI-TV (August 2026) trial coverage reported that a sheriff's office deputy's work-issued SIG Sauer P320 discharged in 2022 and that, per the defense, the sheriff's office chose to buy the P320 without the optional manual safety. Current status not re-verified.
