Department-issued pistol as of August 2026; the town reports a contract to replace it with a Glock Gen 6 9mm, with training scheduled for December 2026.
The South Hadley (Massachusetts) Town Administrator's August 2026 monthly report says the police department has finalized a contract to replace its department-issued Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm pistols with Glock Gen 6 9mm pistols with red-dot optics. Training is scheduled for December 2026, with deployment after that. The Glock model is not named, so the planned pistol is not recorded yet.
