St. Mary's County (MD) Sheriff's Office Policy 305 (Lexipol 2026/02/03) names the S&W M&P 9mm and M&P Sub-Compact 9mm as office-issued handguns, with the full-size S&W M&P9 2.0 as the primary handgun for all personnel; the M&P Shield 9mm is among accepted personally owned secondary handguns.
