The Board of Aldermen unanimously approved Resolution No. 732, a contract to buy Glock 9mm pistols, Holosun SCS optics and Safariland duty holsters for the city. The related staff request names the models being replaced and those recommended; see the second source. Current status not re-verified.

    Duty pistol replaced after the Board approved the Glock purchase in August 2024. · The staff request says the department needed to replace its current Sig P-229 .40 caliber duty pistols, which were about 10 years old, and recommended Glock 19 and 45 models with Holosun SCS optics. The Board approved the Glock purchase the same night (Resolution No. 732). The specific Glock models are not entered because the approved resolution says only 'Glock 9MM Pistols'.
