Authorized duty handgun for sworn personnel per General Order 5.02 (revised February 2023); assignment between the two Glock models not stated.

The Virginia Beach Police Department's 2023 general orders manual (copy published on DocumentCloud) includes General Order 5.02, revised February 13, 2023. Its authorized-weapons table lists the Glock 17 and Glock 19 9mm pistols as duty handguns for sworn personnel and animal control officers. A separate specialized-team pistol is excluded.
