Department-issued weapon for primary uniformed carry per the October 2024 general orders; after probation, officers may instead buy an authorized pistol.

The Chandler (Arizona) Police Department general orders (public edition, October 2024) say the department-issued weapon is the Glock 17, with a Glock 22 or 21 issued when available. New and lateral officers are issued the department Glock and keep it through probation. After that, officers may buy and carry a pistol from the department's authorized list instead.
