Department-issued primary duty weapon per OPS-13 (October 2025); officers may instead carry an approved personally owned pistol after qualifying.
Chattanooga (Tennessee) Police Department policy OPS-13 (Firearms Regulations, issued October 28, 2025) defines the primary duty weapon as the department-issued SIG Sauer P320 or an approved personally owned pistol. Officers who carry a personal pistol in patrol uniform must return the issued P320.
