Standard issued firearm (with the G30S) per policy effective April 2015. Current status not re-verified.

The Whitman (Massachusetts) Police Department use-of-force policy (PP# 1.01, effective April 17, 2015; posted to DocumentCloud in 2020) says the standard firearm issued by the department is a Glock Model 21 or G30S .45 semi-automatic handgun. It does not say which officers carry which model, so both are listed as Other. A rifle is mentioned by brand only and is not entered. The source is old. Current status not re-verified.
