Per GO 1.3.05 (June 2022). Albany has reportedly since moved to red-dot duty pistols; current model not re-verified.
Albany (NY) Police General Order 1.3.05 (revised June 14, 2022) lists the Glock 22 (.40) and Remington 870 shotgun for sworn personnel, and the Bushmaster M4 and SIG Sauer M400/516 rifles for patrol rifle operators. A June 2025 City of Hudson council resolution says Albany has since implemented red-dot-equipped duty pistols, model not named, so the handgun may have changed.
