The council approved a contract with Cats Arms, LLC dba SIONICS Weapon Systems for department patrol carbine rifles, after staff testing and an invitation to bid. The minutes don't name the rifle model. The chief described it in the meeting as a package with lights, sights and slings (no models given) and a step toward equipping the whole department with rifles.
