Optional authorized gun (officer-purchased), not a department-issued duty pistol: Order 34-01's Uniform Duty Carry Chart lists the Glock 17 (9mm) for primary/secondary duty carry. Officers buy their own handgun from the chart; officers hired after 2022 may only buy a Glock MOS. Staccato models on the chart are barred for new purchases after July 1, 2026 and aren't entered.
