Adopted as the service weapon in September 2019. Current status not re-verified.
WHYY reported in September 2019 that SEPTA transit police were replacing the Sig Sauer P320 service weapon with the Glock 17 after a holstered P320 discharged at Suburban Station. The agency made an emergency purchase of Glock 17 pistols and used loaned Philadelphia Police Department Glocks until they arrived. Current status not re-verified.
