The South Salt Lake (Utah) Police Department policy manual (Lexipol, dated May 5, 2023) was released through a MuckRock records request and published on DocumentCloud. Policy 310.3.1 names the Glock 17 (9mm) as the authorized department-issued handgun. The patrol rifle provision does not name a specific rifle model and is omitted.
