Most issued police duty pistols

The Glock G17 family is the most common sourced duty pistol in the index: 190 of 799 agencies with a pistol entry list it. Generations and optic-cut (MOS/RDS) variants are combined into one family below; exact models follow.

Data coverage: Based on 799 agencies in the Duty Arms Index with at least one current, sourced pistol entry. Counts include only current entries with a public source; agencies not yet in the index, or without a sourced entry for this item, are not counted, so treat shares as a picture of the Duty Arms Index, not of every U.S. agency. Data last updated Oct 10, 2026.
